Broad Haven
General Information
Broad Haven is a small seaside village located in the Pembrokeshire county of Wales in the United Kingdom, and has been as such since the 1800’s.
Broad Haven forms part of the Havens community along with Little Haven, which is nearby. Broad Haven is known for its beautiful Blue Flag status beach which offers safe swimming for families and plenty of water sport opportunities. There are a number of activities for the whole family to do both in the village and the nearby tourist areas of St David’s and Milford Haven.
The beach at Broad Haven is not only scenic but also offers some interesting natural geological features including rock formations, in the form of rock arches and stacks.
Some of the local folk will still remember in the 1970’s when an alleged UFO sighting occurred, applying the nickname of the Broad Haven Triangle, following an article written in The Sun. There have been a few sightings of apparent UFO’s and “creatures in silver suits” – providing an interesting atmosphere to Broad Haven.
