General Information
Holyhead is located on the Isle of Anglesey in Wales, United Kingdom and is the largest town in the county. Not only is it a busy port, but Holyhead has a lot to offer visitors with its vibrancy and friendly community.
This town is often used as a stop-over for those exploring the Isle or moving on to Ireland, but with the charm of Holyhead town and its beautiful surrounds it is worth a longer stay. There are good facilities for fishing, golfing and sailing around Holyhead. Ferries operate from Anglesey to Dublin with the superfast ferry only taking 99 minutes to complete a single journey. This is a popular excursion for tourists.
Holyhead has a lot of history associated with it including burial chambers at Barcloddiad Yr Gawres and a church in the sea at Porth Cwyfan.
