St Davids
General Information
St Davids is located in the Pembrokeshire region of Wales, United Kingdom and is known as Britains smallest city in terms of both size and population, awarded city status in 1995. Popular with surfers and travellers, St Davids is unique and well worth a visit. Home to St Davids Cathedral, St Davids is a popular pilgramage destination, attracting thousands of visitors every year.
St David, the patron saint of Wales, founded a monastic settlement in this remote corner of southwest Wales in about 550, which became one of the most important Christian shrines. The date of St David's death, 1 March, is commemorated throughout Wales.
